One of the reasons that thousands of people visit Dufftown each year is that the town lies at the heart of the World Famous "Whisky Trail". The town was founded in 1817 and is perhaps best known for it's malt whiskies including the world famous Glenfiddich.
The North East of Scotland is sometimes referred to as Scotland's "forgotten corner" but it could not be further from the truth. If you have never been to this part of Scotland before, then you are in for a treat.
Both our self catering cottages contain full information of all local visitor attractions.
Amongst the many distilleries to visit, Glenfiddich, Glen Grant, Glenlivet, Macallan have free admission
There are a numerous gardens, art and craft galleries all with free admission
There are many local museums reflecting the local history and rich maritime heritage of the area. Many have free admission!
