The old barn, which once housed a mill, has been tastefully converted into two luxury cottages to provide the highest possible standard in self catering .

With an elevation of 800 feet above sea level and more than half a mile from the nearest road, the cottages stand at the end of a well made track completely surrounded by farmland and have glorious views. At night, forget the light pollution of modern towns and enjoy the stars!

Inside the cottages we have aimed to provide comfort - unlike some cottages that say "sleeps 6" but where you would be hard pushed to seat 4 people in the living room, both cottages have masses of living space. The kitchens are new, fully fitted and with all the conveniences of your own home.

Both cottages have Oil fired central heating Fully fitted and equipped kitchens Open fires TV; DVD & Freeview Electric blankets on all beds Double glazing Enclosed gardens & great views Garden tables and barbeques Separate access and parking for 2 cars

Also, included in the weekly rental is Electricity Central heating All bed linen & towels, toilet rolls Fire kindling & logs Free bag of peat (2 free bags October to April) Initial supplies of milk, coffee, tea, sugar, salt/pepper, mixed herbs, dishwasher & washing machine detergent, cling film & foil. A welcome bottle of wine in the fridge!

 

Although the cottages are part of a barn, they both offer excellent privacy. Each cottage has separate vehicle access to the front door with parking and an enclosed garden with secluded areas where you can relax and enjoy a barbeque.

Stable Cottage

This is a two bedroom cottage, on the end of the barn, sleeping 4 guests in 1 twin room and 1 kingsize double.

With it's cosy living room and open fire, spacious fully equipped kitchen, and generous comfortable bedrooms, Stable cottage is ideal for a couple or family of 4.

The cottage has a downstairs WC and a family shower room and WC upstairs.

Pets are also well catered for with its large enclosed garden.

Mill Cottage

This is a three bedroom cottage, in the centre of the barn, and sleeps up to 6 guests in 3 rooms. (1 king-size with en-suite) and 2 twin rooms

Note one of the twin bedrooms is downstairs and is smaller than the upstairs bedrooms.

The cottage has a large living room with open fire and a massive window looking out across the valley.

The cottage has a downstairs WC but, in addition to the en-suite shower & WC, Mill also has an upstairs family bathroom with shower and bath

Having been open since Dec 2005, we have strived to ensure that our guests have the best self catering holiday possible.

Therefore if you have any special requirements; would like an evening meal prepared on night of arrival; or need to arrange a particular activity please let us know and we will do our best to make the necessary arrangements for you.

We are also pleased to advise guests old and new that

• our prices for 2008 remain unchanged from 2007
• we offer a 10% discount for bookings of just 2 people.
• we offer fully flexible booking dates, including short breaks, all year except for July & August when bookings are Saturday to Saturday.
• there are no extra charges for pets. (ask for our pet terms & conditions)
